Extended Visa Approved...

Dear Mr Muhammad Akramshah Ismail

We are pleased to inform you that we have today received your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP), also the passport and other documents which you provided in support of your application have been returned. 

The Home Office has granted you an extension of stay until 30/03/2012. We would be grateful if you would call into the Student Support Centre at your earliest convenience to collect your documents. The Student Support Centre is open 9.00am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, we are located in the Angela Marmot Building on the university campus, building reference 56. You must bring your LU ID card with you as proof of identity when coming to collect your documents.

You must retain the Home Office decision letter for reference; it contains your Home Office reference number which should be used if you ever need to apply for a further extension of stay or replacement BRP.

Your BRP is a residence permit which holds your biographical and biometric information and shows your immigration status and entitlements while you remain in the United Kingdom.  The card replaces the vignette (or sticker) and ink stamps previously placed in the passports of those granted permission to remain in the United Kingdom, for the purposes of travelling you will need both your passport and BRP.  Having collected your BRP please check it carefully to make sure that all details on it are correct.

You have been granted permission to pursue studies at Loughborough University as confirmed in your application, changes to your studies can affect your immigration status, please seek advice if you intend to make any changes to your study plans.

If you are a ‘relevant foreign national’ you may be required either to register with the police, or if you are already registered report the issue of an BRP to the police.  The decision letter and/or ID card from the Home Office confirms whether this is required, so check it carefully.  

You should check that all of your personal documents have been returned e.g. bank statements, academic certificates, police registration certificate (if applicable).  The Home Office does not return supporting letters.  If anything important is missing please let us know.
