Kuala Lumpur - Lboro...

Today, after a week in Malaysia, it was time for us to head back to Loughborough. In the morning, we went to visit Kak Long's new house near Puncak Alam. After Maghrib, we went to KLIA to catch our flight. As I had applied for the MAS's Golden Lounge via our Enrich points, we check in early to fully take advantage of the lounge. We had dinner (Taiwan Beef Noodle) before the flight.


As we reached Heathrow, we waited for Hafiz to come and pick us up. From there, we went to King Cross Travelodge hotel as we had to catch our train back tomorrow morning. Me and Hafiz went to this halal chinese restaurant called Inn Noodle near Queensway tube station where they serve crispy aromatic duck and from there we went to MSD to tapau nasi goreng for dinner...

Terengganu...

Today, we went back to Terengganu. Papa started driving along the highway and I took over halfway. As we left KL in the afternoon as Papa had a board meeting in the morning, we reached Durian Burung at 11.00 pm. We finally got to sleep at the new house.


The next morning, we went to Maybank Kuala Terengganu to open up Puteri's bank account and went to Pasar Kedai Payang to stock up on spices and keropok.

Majlis Aqiqah Puteri...

Hari ni, majlis aqiqah Puteri dan majlis kesyukuran Atie telah diadakan. Majlis dimulakan dengan solat hajat dan diikuti dengan bacaan surah Yaasin oleh pelajar maadhad taadfiz Ar Reduan, Ulu Klang.

Majlis marhaban / berzanji dan acara cukur jambul Puteri pula diaadakan.

Lboro - Kuala Lumpur ....

After almost one and a half years studying for my PhD, finally we are heading back to Malaysia for Puteri's aqiqah. We took the Malaysian Airlines MH 2 from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur. We took the train from Loughborough to London then the underground to Heathrow. Puteri was very excited to finally see To'Mi & To'Ki again. She was very well behaved during the 12 hours flight. She just got up during her feeding time and went back to sleep again.

As we reached KLIA, the Immigration officer pulled me to one side and told me that there was a problem with my PTPTN student loan. We had to go the Immigration office and the officer told me that PTPTN had black listed me and had barred me from leaving the country untill all of my student loan was paid off...

House Hunting At Nottingham...

Today, we went to Nottingham to look at a house which was advertised and was emailed to me by a Nottingham Malaysian Society member. The house was occupied by a Malaysian family that will be going home in July. The location was great, but the house is too big for us. With 4 bedrooms and 3 stories high, if we decided to move there, no one will go up to the third floor.

As we had an appointment with the owner at 7:30 pm, we went to East Midland Designer Outlet, situated at Mansfield Road, South Normanton, Derbyshire. It was 20 minutes drive to Nottingham and 40 minutes from Lboro.

The search continues...

NTU Business School Postgraduate Open Day...

Today, we went to NTU to attend the business school open day. Atie had a discussion with the head of the department relating her studies, what she would expect and the modules that will be taken. As at the last moment notice, her course, MBA open day, was postponed till June, she just went there to get information regarding other courses first.

It was very difficult driving in Nottingham as we are not use to the road layout as well as tram running on the major road, despite having the sat nav navigating us around.

As the open day finished around 7 pm, we headed to the Khyber Pass restaurant for dinner and headed home afterwards...

L'boro Uni International Day...

Today, Atie prepared "Pulut Panggang" for the Malaysian Society booth. She starts preparing right after Subuh prayers as she wants it to be fresh as possible. Other Malaysian contribute delicacies as well, such as sago melaka, roti jala, nasi himpit, etc...

Sprained My Ankle...

Today I've accidentally sprained my ankle. We went to the walk in clinic and the nurse told me to put an ice pack over it and take some ibuprofen to help ease the pain. So we went to the pharmacy to buy a cool gel and some bandage to wrap around the ankle...

Birthday Party...

Today we went to Feast India restaurant in Leicester to celebrate my office mate's birthday party. It was a buffet style restaurant serving Indian delicacies. Puteri was exited at first when we reached the venue, then started crying when others started to hold her...

Bank Holiday Monday...


Today is the May bank holiday monday. As it was cloudy, we ditched our plan for a barbeque and head towards IKEA in Nottingham instead. We went there to look for Puteri's play mat as she is rolling all the time. She got one big crocodile pillow as well...

Cleaning Up The Back Garden...

As the back garden started to become a jungle again, we cleaned up the area and planted some flowers instead. We got 3 bags full of weeds and other rubbish as well. Now all we need to do is throw them out at the council's garbage collection site near the train station...
