Last Day As Evening Cleaner...

Today is my last day working as an evening cleaner at ETS Ltd. located at Meadow Lane, Lboro. I made this decision as I can spend more time at the office and stay late as well doing research. During the second year as a research student, we need more time to perform experiments as well as detailed discussion with the supervisor. Study full time, work part time. Puteri's Immunization Shots...

Today Balqis went for her first of many immunization shot at the University's medical centre. She got 2 shots at both of her thighs. This is to protect her from:

• Diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis, inactivated poliomyelitis and Haemophilus influenzae type b (DTaP/IPV/Hib)
• Pneumococcal (PVC)

She also developed a mild fever. We just put some tamarind on her head to keep her cool. Next shot when she is 3 months old.

Balqis's Medical Check Up...

Today Puteri went to the Cobden Children Centre at Cobden Primary School and Community Centre for her medical check up. She is now weighing 4.7 kg. Everything is alright with her. We also went to Lloyds Pharmacy to buy a thermometer as she will get her immunization shot tomorrow. Just a precaution step if she develops a fever. Then we went to the Walk - in centre as Atie keep having this buzzing sound in her ear for a week now. The doctor said it is normal and there is no medicine for it.

Balqis is 2 Months Old...

Today Puteri is 2 months old... She is now sleeping in her own cot rather than in bed with us. Very the manja, have to pick her up every time she "jebeks" before started to scream her head off.

Today is Adik's 16th birthday. Moga dipanjangkan umur dan dimurahkan rezeki...

Warwick English Language Test...

Today we went to University of Warwick as Atie is taking her WELT test. It's a 45 minute drive from Lboro. We went there early as we have no idea where will the test are held. We arrived at 10:45 am and went searching for the registration office in Social Science department. After paying £80, we went to the nearby cafe for a drink to calm Atie down. At 12:45 pm, she went to the exam hall and found that only 4 people are taking this exam, while Puteri and me wait for her at the cafe and have a walk around campus. After 3 hours, Atie came out of the exam hall smiling (relief of the pressure) . After Maghgrib prayer, we went back to Lboro. There was a massive traffic jam as we left Warwick during the rush hour. We finally reach home at 6pm. Sorry no picture, as we totally forgot to bring the camera...

Balqis's First Outing...

Today we took Balqis for her first ride in the car and went shopping at Tesco's. We fear for her as she might get cold as the weather was freezing today. We dressed her up in her pink bodysuit that To'ki & To'Mi bought. She was quiet all the way and started crying when we finally reached home.
